So every Easter sunday, the youth group at my church hosts a breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausages, and assorted pastries. Back when my brother and I were in elementary school, we made placemats in sunday school. These placemats are still used today at the Easter breakfasts… and today, when I sat down to eat I looked in the lower right hand corner of the placemat at my seat and what-do-you-know, it is one my brother made in 1996. Naturally, I took a good look at it, and after discovering a very detailed drawing of the space shuttle at lift off next to a glittery cross, I had to take a picture.
This, world, is the artwork of my brother at age 11. And I’m still not quite clear on where the space shuttle figures into Jesus’s resurrection, but it makes for a good laugh.
